Description

The Harada Gengetsu Junmai Ginjo Muroka Genshu is a collaboration between Mottox and the Hatsumomiji Brewery, a brewery from Yamaguchi Prefecture that has recently been gathering a great deal of attention both in Japan and overseas. A blend of Yamada Nishiki and Saito-no-Shizuku (Yamaguchi Prefecture's own sake rice), this sake is powerful yet with excellent composure - a perfectly balanced sake. The label design depicts a crescent moon ("gengetsu" means "crescent moon" in Japanese) rising over the Seto Inland Sea, a sight which can be seen from the brewery.

Tasting Notes

Fruity aromas of fully ripe pear and melon are followed by floral notes of white rose. Mellow, smooth sweetness and gentle acidity contribute to a rich, sophisticated profile, with the umami and astringency on the finish inviting you to take another sip.
