CHAMART presents five grades of Fukamushicha. All grades are available with a stable supply, and you can taste and sample the third grade at TAVOLA.
Fukamushi‑sencha is a deep‑steamed green tea and a type of sencha. In Japan, medium‑steamed green tea (steamed for 30 to 50 seconds) is called sencha, while deep‑steamed green tea (steamed for 60 to 120 seconds) is known as fukamushicha.
Its taste is milder and less bitter than regular sencha. Fukamushicha pairs well with mint leaves or dried orange.

The tea leaves are grown using the Chagusaba farming method, designated in 2013 by the United Nations as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS). This traditional method helps protect the environment and biodiversity.
Insoluble components such as vitamin E, β‑carotene, and chlorophyll can be consumed more easily from fukamushicha than from medium‑steamed green tea.
The used tea leaves become very soft and fine, so they can be used in cooking, for example by adding them to pasta or mixing them into cream cheese.
