Organic Apple and Salidou® jam was born of an obvious gourmet pairing: the delicately tangy freshness of apple meeting the comforting smoothness of the legendary salted-butter caramel Salidou®. An iconic alliance, created through a collaboration between Muroise et Compagnie and Maison d’Armorine, a leading name in Brittany’s treasured gourmet heritage.
Carefully selected organic apples are slowly candied to preserve their natural melt-in-the-mouth texture and fruity sweetness. They are then coated in the renowned Salidou® caramel, made with milk, butter, cream and a hint of Guérande fleur de sel. From this meeting comes a generous, silky and deeply nostalgic jam, where fruit and caramel converse with precision and balance.
Cooked in a copper cauldron and hand-filled in our workshop in Vallet, this recipe reveals a creamy texture and a beautiful lingering finish. On tasting, it evokes still-warm crêpes, childhood snacks, and simple yet unforgettable desserts—the kind that comfort and reassure.
A true pleasure jam, Organic Apple and Salidou® is delicious on brioche, toasted bread, stirred into yoghurt, as a tart base… or simply by the spoonful for the most indulgent.
