Organic Kukicha (stem tea)

CHAMART presents two grades of Kukicha.  Both grades are available with a stable supply, and you can taste and sample the first grade at TAVOLA.
Kukicha is mainly stem with leaves of green tea. The green tea of kukicha which CHAMART introduces is fukamushicha (deep-steamed green tea).  The steaming time of fukamushicha is 60 to 120 seconds.

Origin: Kakegawa City, Shizuoka, Japan
Leaf: Stems and tiny pieces of leaves
Flavor: Mild with a slight sweetness and a delicate sweet flower-like aroma, not bitter neither astringent
Color: Dark yellow-green
Certification: Organic JAS
MOQ: 20 kg
Shelf life: 1 year after shipping (2 years if stored below 9 °C)
Packaging: 20 kg aluminum‑metallized kraft bag in cardboard box 

The tea leaves are grown using the Chagusaba farming method, designated in 2013 by the United Nations as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS). This traditional method helps protect the environment and biodiversity.

The insoluble components such as vitamin E, β-carotene, chlorophyll, etc. can be consumed more easily from fukamushicha than from medium-steamed green tea.
