Regenerative Organic Almond Honey
Origin: Lands in reforestation in the Ecosystem Restoration Camp (ERC) located in Finca La Junquera, Murcia, Spain.
This honey explains a paradox in beekeeping: Southern Spain is full of almond crops although no almond honey is available in the market place due to almond honey is consumed by bees when they are exploited, in other words; forced to overproduction and being fed with sugar syrup or stimulants instead of allowing them to consume their own honey surplus.
This Regenerative Organic beekeeping project neither exploit, nor feed honeybees with artificial fed, our main goal is boosting biodiveristy in this territory, and this is why we do not migrate colonies. The outcome is a very small but extraordinary honey quality of a high content of almond pollen.
Moreover, our farming practices are implemented for reversing
desertification in the region. Key lines on the crops actively
allow water distribution and green covers maintain a healthy
soil. Our non-migratory honeybees keep boosting
biodiversity permanently for an outstanding rich soil ecosystem.
We are compromised to the Sustainable Development Goals by
the U.N and have been repeteadly awarded in sustainability by
ALVELAL & the 4 Returns framework by Commonland (Amsterdam)
