Every two years, the Golden Tavola competition rewards the most remarkable innovations in food and plays a significant part in determining what consumers will be eating and drinking in the future. This competition is held on the occasion of Tavola, the trade fair for fine food and delicatessen, which has been held in Kortrijk Xpo every 2 years since 1982. The fair gathers food professionals from retail, wholesalers, specialty stores and catering organisations from more than 30 countries. Because of the focus on premium food & drinks, the pure product experience and its 500 selected exhibitors from over 20 countries, Tavola is one of the best and high quality food fairs in Europe.

Fine and fresh food sector boosted by trade fair Tavola


A great edition. This is no exaggeration: both exhibitors and organization have spared neither effort nor trouble to turn Tavola 2016 into a memorable edition. From March 13 to 16, its 18th edition was held at Kortrijk Xpo. Whereas it all started in 1982 with 40 exhibitors on an area of less than 1 hall, 24 years later, Tavola has definitely grown to be a European must visit fair in the field of fine and fresh food.
The beautiful stands, the warm welcome for the visitors by the exhibitors, the overall decoration, the strictly professional character, etc. It was nice to spend some time in the fine and fresh food industry in the past three days.

A particularly successful edition of TAVOLA 2014 that surpassed all expectations

The 17th edition of TAVOLA, the trade fair for fine foods and fresh products is now behind us. And we can say with some pride that this 2014 edition was a great success: in initial evaluations, exhibitors have reported that they made an impressive number of high-quality business contacts that far surpassed their expectations. In addition to the traditional visitors from the Benelux, we saw a remarkable increase in the number of international visitors, a factor that was very much appreciated by the exhibitors. Enthusiastic reactions therefore as this extremely elegant and professional event came to a close. It is rightfully described as one of the most beautiful European food trade fairs.
