Gutlings was born from Julie’s personal quest for a healthier alternative to traditional sodas. As someone passionate about health, she often found herself frustrated when opening menus in cafés, bars, or restaurants, faced with the same sugary or artificial drink options, but nothing that struck the right balance between feeling good and tasting great.

Kombucha was a natural source of inspiration for their gut friendly benefits, but they weren’t always practical. Their reliance on refrigeration made them harder to stock and limited where they could be served. And even when available, they were often expensive or had lost their benefits due to a broken cold chain.

In short, they weren’t accessible, not in availability, not in price, and not in reliability. That’s when the idea for Gutlings took shape.
