CARROO draws its inspiration from the past. Think of the cured meats depicted in the paintings of Pieter Bruegel the Elder — simple, honest, and rich in flavour.

The name refers to the classic red-and-white checkered butcher’s wrapping paper, as well as to the Latin word carō, meaning meat.
