Current information on the coronavirus (Covid-19)
update: 2 March 2020
As all event organisers, we are receiving questions concerning the coronavirus at the moment.
Tavola will go ahead, as planned, on 15-16-17 March.
For Tavola, the well-being of our visitors, participants, exhibitors, suppliers and other stakeholders is paramount. We are following strictly the recommendations of the Belgian government and health authorities who are constantly assessing the possible risks for our country and, if necessary, will propose measures to the minister and the government. Our country has put sound procedures in place for the detection and treatment of the coronavirus.
The internal recommendations of the European Commission are: anyone who has stayed in an area at risk 14 days prior to the event, is requested not to attend (latest updates via this link). The commission recommends prevention and vigilance, but currently sees no reason to restrict the organization of trade fairs in Belgium. The latest updates can be followed via the WHO and the Belgian government information site.
We are closely following developments related to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and will take the necessary health precautions:
We will provide in e.g. :
- disinfecting soap to wash your hands in the toilets + posters “how to wash your hands correctly”
- disinfecting gel on several places in the fair grounds
- an extra cleaning crew that will clean and disinfect the door handles etc. throughout the fair
- presence of a paramedical team
We will be happy to welcome you.
